Why we exist - to break down barriers to ballet
The San Antonio Youth Ballet was created with one core purpose - to raise vital funds for dancer scholarships. Professional ballet training and performance opportunities are incredibly expensive; we constantly encounter some of the most talented students in San Antonio and the Bexar County area who, without support, wouldn't be able to pursue their dreams. We refuse to turn away promising young dancers due to financial limitations, ensuring that high-quality instruction and stages are accessible to all.
Transforming lives beyond the dance studio
The impact of our scholarships and programs extends far beyond technical dance skills. We've witnessed a profound increase in self-confidence among our dancers, which in turn boosts their academic achievements. To participate in our company, dancers must maintain a high GPA, fostering a strong work ethic both on and off stage. Alumni of our program have gone on to become professional ballet dancers, performing artists on Broadway, and successful professionals in diverse fields, including medicine, marketing, and engineering. We empower them to succeed in whatever path they choose.
